Dark theme not applied on Arch / Hyprland despite logs saying so

Hello. On Arch / Hyprland, I have set a dark theme using nwg-look. This is also logged:

But the window appears in light mode:


Previously used to work but I’m not sure if dark mode got broken when moving from flatpak to arch package or in a recent update.

    You’ve got a gift for finding these - have you considered a career as a software tester? 😆

    I’ve just tested this on Debian (Wayland/Mutter) and Omarchy - it was Hyprland-specific, behaves correctly on other environments.

    There will be a fix for it included in v0.1.153 (along with an an AMD encoding fix that has been tested on AMD hardware!) which will be released on April 1st or 2nd - I used up all the GitHub Actions minutes included in my plan for this month so will have to wait for it to reset.

      Haha I think about it sometimes, given how most of my open source contributions are reporting / commenting on issues rather than submitting code patches. Never really considered it seriously though.
